As a mother, my passion for caring for children comes from my heart. I understand that each child is special and has their own learning styles, needs, interests, and personality. Thus, I strive to provide each child with an exciting environment full of opportunities to explore, learn and grow. A small group environment where one-on-one attention is key and safety is the number one priority. I am also first aid and CPR/AED certificated.

My son attended Cecile’s Home Daycare from the age of 10 months old until the day before he started junior kindergarten. My daughter attended from eight months old until we moved out of area. Several years later, and they both beg to visit Cecile every time we are in Markham.
When I looked for a daycare, my hope was to find a welcoming home environment where my children would be lovingly cared for, cultivate social skills and friendships, and learn the routines and early literacy and math skills that would transfer to a school environment. I found all of that and more in Cecile’s daycare. Cecile cared for my children to the same degree that they were cared for at home and delighted in their growth and progress. She was always flexible and happy to work with me so there was consistency between home and daycare and she always took the time to share the day’s experiences with me at pick up. She praised and encouraged their development and gently help them to learn and grow from mistakes. They exercised and explored outdoors and on outings and crafted and played in her safe and entertaining home. My children are still friends with their peers from Cecile’s and they entered Kindergarten reading and with strong, foundational academic skills.
I have recommended Cecile’s daycare to many friends and they have all had extremely positive experiences. My children were loved and LOVED growing up at Cecile’s Home Daycare. My name is Fletcher and I went to Miss Cecile when I was little. She is a very nice and fun person and has a big basement that’s really fun to play in. She does everything - like crafts and playing outside and lunch. I really miss being a kid who gets to see her everyday. She is really, really, really nice.

Cecile looked after our daughter on a full-time basis during the week, from the age of 7 months old, to the time she was ready to enter JK.
Our daughter loved Cecile and we always felt that she was well looked after, properly fed and socialized with others. Our child still loves (and misses) 'Miss. Cecile' and has retained friendships that she developed during that impressionable time.
As new parents, we were very worried about finding childcare for our first (and only) child and I felt very comfortable knowing that she was in Cecile's care. We looked at larger, more commercial daycare options, but after researching, felt that a home daycare was better for our daughter's development and never regretted our decision.
